1. Who we are

This website ("Dog Training Steps," "we," "us") is operated by Costa Launch LLC, 2001 Timberloch Place, Suite 500, The Woodlands, TX 77380, USA. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we collect

  • Email signup: When you request our free PDF, you give us your email address and, optionally, your first name. Your details are stored in our ActiveCampaign account, the email marketing platform we use, together with the date of signup, the page or campaign that referred you, and technical data such as your IP address, recorded to confirm the signup and protect against abuse.
  • Email engagement: Our emails may contain small tracking images and tracked links that tell us whether an email was opened and which links were clicked. We use this to improve the emails and to stop sending to inactive addresses.
  • Hosting logs: Our host, Cloudflare, may automatically log IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps for security and reliability.
  • Email you send us: If you write to [email protected], we receive whatever you include in that message.
  • Advertising measurement: Our pages include the Google tag (gtag.js) for Google Ads. Google may set cookies or use similar technologies to measure ad clicks and conversions, such as a signup after an ad click.
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API: Our pages include the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). It records page views and, when you request the free plan, a signup event, together with technical data such as your IP address, browser details and cookie identifiers. When you sign up, our server may also send Meta the same signup event through Meta's Conversions API, including a hashed (scrambled) version of your email address and first name, so Meta can match it to a Facebook or Instagram account. We use this to measure and improve our ads and to show our ads to people who may find them useful.

We do not ask for payment details, and we do not sell any products directly on this site.

3. How we use information

  • To send the free plan you requested and a short series of follow up emails with dog training tips
  • To send occasional emails that recommend related products, some of which contain affiliate links (see our Affiliate Disclosure)
  • To respond to your messages
  • To keep the site secure and working, and to comply with the law

4. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the site and send email, mainly:

  • ActiveCampaign (ActiveCampaign, LLC, USA), which stores our email list, including the page or campaign that referred you (for example, Instagram), and sends those emails.
  • Meta Platforms, Inc., which receives the Meta Pixel and Conversions API events described above and uses them under its own Privacy Policy. Sharing this data for ad targeting may be treated as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some US state privacy laws.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts and protects this website.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The pages on this site do not set their own cookies. When you click an affiliate link, the affiliate network (ClickBank) and the seller's website may set cookies to record that you came from our site, under their own privacy policies. When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may set cookies to record that the visit came from our site, under Amazon's own privacy notice.

We use the Google tag for Google Ads conversion measurement, which may set cookies on your device. You can manage ad personalization in your Google account settings and block or delete cookies in your browser.

The Meta Pixel may set cookies (such as _fbp, and _fbc when you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad) and use similar technologies to measure ad results and build ad audiences. To opt out, you can change your Meta ad preferences, use the Digital Advertising Alliance tools at optout.aboutads.info, block third-party cookies in your browser, or email us at [email protected] and we will stop sending your signup to Meta through the Conversions API. We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

6. Retention

We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may keep your address on a suppression list so that we do not email you again. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

7. Your choices and rights

  • Every email has an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from the list.
  • To access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, email [email protected].
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law. We will honor valid requests.

8. Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the information.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to our email account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do.
